RENNER CAST AS HAWKEYE
The Hurt Locker's Jermemy Renner has been cast as Hawkeye. Reports say that he will have a cameo in the upcoming Thor film, and then later reprise the role for The Avengers.
I think he did a great job in The Hurt Locker, and I hope gets mentioned at least for a nomination at the Oscars. Renner said in an interview that Hawkeye was going to look more modernized and that he wouldn't be running around in a purple suit. I like this casting, and I think he will contribute to The Avengers movie. The key to that film's success is getting really good actors who aren't necessarily movie stars to play the parts.
FIRST IRON MAN POSTER REVEALED
The first teaser poster for Iron Man 2 has been release. It's simple but still awesome, and it's good to see a better glimpse of what War Machine will look like.
HANGOVER 2 SCRIPT ALMOST DONE
Todd Phillips reported that he is halfway done with the new script for The Hangover 2. He says that he is taking the guys out of Vegas and coming up with a new story all together. He made a good point that what made the film so good wasn't that it took place in Vegas or that it was a bachelor party, but it was the characters who made he film.
This makes me think, that there will be more of a story/plot with this film. And I agree, he shouldn't have another one of the guys getting married and repeating the first film, it should be something new.
INVASION FILM UNDERWAY
Summit Entertainment announced that it has acquired Invasion. The film's synopsis is as follows: The film opens with a wicked subway accident in Los Angeles in which the survivors (the film's protagonists) climb from the wreckage to find the, now "snowy," city in ruins. What they encounter topside is bodies, mobs of people in a state of panic and acidic "goo."
This could go either way. Everyone is puhing the post-apocolyptic films right now and I'm already tired of them, but this sounds like it has a little more sci-fi to it which I'm down with.

You forgot to give a shout out for Renner in the highly underrated and short-lived The Unusuals, he was fantastic in that show. You know I'm always down for an alien movie, but Invasion sounds very similar to Cloverfield, so I'm not sure about it yet.
