KAT DENNINGS JOINS THOR
Natalie Portman accidenly revealed this week that Kat Dennings has a role in Thor. What part she will play is unknown.
I have never seen Dennings in a movie I didn't like, so as I say everytime I write about this film, it's looking really good.
ZOMBIELAND 2 IN 3D?
Director Ruben Fleischer recently commented that he would be interested in doing the next Zombieland film in 3D if it moves forward.
I'm getting a little tired of everything being in 3D, but I would definitly go for this being in 3D. I loved the first one start to finish, and I'm sure they could really make the 3D work for this film. Count me in.
JACKSON SIGNS ON TO UFO
Joshua Jackson has signed on to star in UFO. Jackson will play a pilot for the top-secret organization SHADO (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defense Organization), who protect the planet from aliens harvesting human body parts.
I'm all for alien films, but I am not sold on Jackson as a lead role. I'm still torn on if I like Fringe or not and he doesn't really have a lot under his belt film wise. Be ware of this for now. Isn't this a rediculous picture of him.
MOVIE REVIEW: OLD DOGS
John Travolta and Robin Williams star in Disney’s new comedy, Old Dogs. Charlie (Travolta) and Dan (Williams), play life long best friends who have a sports marketing agency together and are currently working on a deal that will make them the biggest company in the world. Charlie is the ladies man type, while Dan is more of the romantic. He has always regretted letting the love of his life Vicki (Kelly Preston) get away after a very brief, 14 hour marriage that happened seven years earlier on a wild night in Miami.
Right before they begin to start on the biggest deal of their careers, Vicki comes in town to see Dan. Dan is very excited to get the second chance with Vicki he always wanted, however Vicki comes with big news. Dan has two seven year old twins. Not only is he taken back by the news, but Vicki needs him to watch them for two weeks while she goes away. Dan then turns to his best friend Charlie for help, thinking he won’t be able to last the two weeks on his own. Determined to be a good father, and win back the girl of his dreams, Dan along with “uncle” Charlie then set out on crazy adventures with the kids for the next two weeks until Vicki returns home. This film comes from Walt Becker, who directed the 2007 box office hit Wild Hogs also starring Travolta.
Old Dogs will appeal to two different crowds, kids and older moms. The film has good intentions and really tries to capture the whacky over the top scenario’s the characters get into, but will fall short of landing any kind of humor to young adults or males. The movie will make a great family film to go see over Thanksgiving break, but stay away from it as a date night film or if your going in it looking for a good laugh. Most viewers will leave bored and not amused. I give it a two out of five.

MOVIE REVIEW: NEW MOON
New Moon is the continuation of the story between Bella, Edward and Jacob. In this film, Bella is attacked by Edward's brother at her birthday party, causing Edward to leave so that he can protect Bella from harm. With Edward gone, Jacob swoops in and tries to be the guy for her. Bella finds out he is a werewolf and that him and his "pack" are protecting Bella from whatever the bad girl's vampire name was in the first film. Bella decides to cliff dive, and makes Alice, Edwards sister who can see visions of things, think that she committed suicide. Edward doesn't want to live in a world with out her and heads to Italy to expose himself to the world as a vampire, so the Vultori, an ancient group of vampires, will kill him. Bella and Alice then go to Italy to stop him, leaving Jacob alone and pissed.
For all the hype this film is getting, breaking The Dark Knight's opening record for instance, I do not get what the hype was all about. I get that it is a chick flick and it's aimed for girls, but I have seen several chick flicks that were better than this.
My main problem is with Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob. You may, but probably won't, recognize him as the kid from Shark Boy and Lava Girl. Sure the guy is buff, but he could not pull off the bad boy, werewolf part in my opinion. He is seventeen, but still has the voice of a thirteen year old and his tough guy act just was not convincing.
With all this being said, the movie itself isn't horrible, it just doesn't come anywhere close to they hype around it. I was expecting a whole lot more from it, and all I got was two hours of Bella whining about what boy she likes and Jacob whining that Bella won't make up her mind. I'll give it a three out of five.

SPIELBERG AND KING TEAM UP FOR "UNDER THE DOME"
Stephen King's latest, "Under the Dome" was released last week, and already Spielberg is wanting to adapt it. Reports say, that he and King will be developing it for a cable television event.
There is nothing worse than watching something adapted from King's work on television. They take out all the good stuff and change it around to fit television's standards. I'm actually reading the book right now, and I would not mind seeing it adapted, but its over a thousand pages with over thirty characters. I'm only in the 200's of the book and I can already tell you that if this is going to be done well, it needs to be done on HBO. Spielberg and HBO have done a few mini series together and this is the first time he is doing a King adaptation, so hopefully that is where this television event will land.
UNDERWORLD 4 A GO
The Shield writer, John Hlavin is currently working on a script for a fourth Underworld film. He says that it will not be a prequel. Len Weisman is not directing, but will instead produce the film and neither Kate Beckinsale or Rhona Mitra, who starred in the prequel has signed on either.
The first two films are pretty good. I never saw the prequel that was recently made, but I heard it was really good as well. These films don't really do it for me, they are ok for a one time watch, so this isn't very exciting news for me, but I know there are Underworld fans out there who will be very excited to see a new film.
THOR ADDS ANOTHER
Idris Elba has joined the cast of Thor and will be playing Heimdall. Heimdall is the guard of Asgard, Thor's home.
I like Elba in everything I have seen him in. He has a wide range of credentials from Tyler Perry's Daddy's Little Girls, to 28 Weeks Later, to a recurring role on The Office. I'm telling you guys, Thor might not be one of the more popular comic characters, but this film looks like it's going to be awesome.
AMERICAN GLADIATORS HEADED TO THE BIG SCREEN
Peter Ilif, whose writing credits are Patriot Games and Varsity Blues, is writing a script to bring the beloved American Gladiators to the big screen. It appears that, and I quote "The story will feature the Herculean characters as superheroes".
Wow, I think this wins the horrible idea of the day award. This is just beyond stupid. If they do this, all I'm going to say is that they better put Wolf and Crush in it from the new Gladiators series.
As a matter a fact, that's what they should do, instead of wasting millions on a movie that will flop, they need to bring back the show from a few years ago. Sure it was cheesy, but come on.
WARNER BROS. ADAPTING "NUBS"
Justin Zacham, the writer of The Bucket List has signed on to write the script for Nubs. Nubs is the story of Major Brian Dennis, who finds a stray dog while on tour in Iraq, and nurses him back to health.
I really enjoyed The Bucket List, and I'm the biggest sucker for dog's so I'm sure I'll be in line opening night for this film unless they turn it into a kid movie, which I don't see happening.
JACKASS 3......YOU GUESSED IT D COMING
So it must be a rule now that once a third movie of a franchise is made, it's only logical to do it in 3D. Well it looks like Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, and Bam are going to be filming their next Jackass film in 3D as well.
I don't see how this will work. They do all of their things with mostly with hand held cameras, so I don't get how it will work, not to mention they normally do their films for next to nothing, and I imagine doing one in 3D will raise the budget significantly. I'll definitely see it though.
YET ANOTHER CASTING RUMOR FOR SPIDER-MAN 4
First Rachel McAdams was rumored, then it changed to Julia Stiles. Now Anne Hathaway is the latest to be rumored for the role of Black Cat.
Stiles, not so much. McAdams, I could handle that. Hathaway, Jackpot. I love Hathaway and if you told me she would be starring as the new James Bond I would go see it. One thing is clear though, there is really no casting truths behind any of these rumors. When people's names are being tossed out for a role as much as this is, it is usually people just wishing. Well I wish Hathaway gets the part.
MOVIE REVIEW: THE BLIND SIDE
The Blind Side is the true, remarkable story of Michael Oher. Oher started out as a troubled teen. He was in and out of foster homes, he had only two pairs of clothes, and no parental guidance whatsoever. It appeared, that he would end up on the same path many troubled teens end up on. However, Oher caught a few lucky breaks in his life which would change him forever.
His first break happened when Tony Henderson, a father to one of his friends, took his son to enroll in Briarcrest Christian School. While there, he asked if Oher could attend as well. The football coach was very interested in Oher, but the school administrators did not feel he could handle the school with his educational background and his current GPA which was at the time a 0.9. Oher luckily ended up getting accepted and began attending Briarcrest.
His second, and possibly most important break came when Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy, who had a daughter at Briarcrest, brought him into their home so he could have a place to stay. While there, he formed a bond with the family, especially with their younger son S.J. and Leigh Anne. Michael began staying there permanently and the Tuohy's began taking care of his needs, buying him clothes, giving him his first bed, and eventually buying him a car of his own. They also hired him a tutor who spent numerous hours a week working with him. The Tuhoy's eventually adopted Michael, officially making him part of their family.
By his junior year, he became eligible for football. He played left tackle and by his senior year, he was the number one offensive prospect in the country. The recruiting war began with Tennessee, Ole Miss, Clemson, Alabama and LSU all chomping at the bit to get him to commit to their school. It eventually came down to Tennessee and Ole Miss, with Oher choosing Ole Miss, the Tuohy's alma mater. The choice to attend Ole Miss caused a stir with the NCAA. The Tuhoys were big supporters of Ole Miss and donated to the school every year. The NCAA wanted to make sure that the family didn't bring him in to ensure that he went to their alma mater, a thing they feared would start happening with well off families. The investigation did not affect Oher's decision and attended Ole Miss.
Oher started ten games his freshman year and became the first freshman all-American. Throughout his career at Ole Miss, he was selected for several all-conference and all-American teams. Oher decided that after his junior year he would enter the NFL draft, but later changed his mind and played his senior year at Ole Miss.
In 2009, Michael Oher was selected twenty-third in the first round of the NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. The Tuohys were there with him to celebrate the big day. Oher signed a five year $13.8 million dollar contract and has started every game for the Ravens this season, bringing this incredible story to an end, and beginning a new one.
The Blind Side focuses mainly on the high school part of Oher's life. It does a good job of portraying the hard and long journey it took Oher to reach the success he now has. Why I screed this instead of "New Moon" was because of the Oscar buzz Sandra Bullock is getting for her portrayal of Leigh Anne Touhy. Bullock said in an interview, that when she first met the real Leigh Anne, that she hated her. She was a very straightforward, bossy, in your face kind of lady. By their fifth visit, Bullock said that they ended up being like best friends. After hearing that, it seems that Bullock nailed her portrayal of Leigh Anne. You can't help to look past the uppity, high-class personality of Leigh Anne and cheer her on as she molds Michael into the person she knows he can be. The rest of the cast did a great job as well. Most of the talent from the film has little acting credentials, which really surprised me, because the entire cast did a really great job. Although Bullock is getting all the buzz, the show stealer in my opinion was Jae Head, who portrays S.J. Tuohy, the younger son. You may recognize Head from Hancock or NBC's Friday Night Lights. He has a unique and upbeat energy I have never seen from a child actor. The film itself is a feel good movie, with a few clichés and cheesy dialogue, but overall leaves you wanting to go out and help someone in need. I give The Blind Side four out of five stars.

FARIS SIGNS ON FOR TWO IN ONE DAY
Today, Anna Faris signed on to do not one, but two different films. The first film, she will be starring along side Ryan Reynolds for a film titled TMI. The two will star as a couple where honesty wasn't always the best policy. The second film is titled Wedding Banned. The film co-stars Robin Williams who plays Faris's father who, along with his ex-wife, kidnaps her on the eve of her wedding in hopes of preventing her from making the mistake they did.
Neither of these films sound really appealing. TMI could be funny, but we'll need more of a plot than, "a couple where honesty wasn't always the best policy".
Wedding Banned has cliche written all over it. Let me go ahead and tell you how this film is going to work. Robin Williams and his ex are going to kidnap Faris to stop her from getting married, get into some "wacky" situations, the two will fall back in love, and Faris will marry whoever she was supposed to. There you go, I just saved you ten bucks for a movie ticket. I'm sure today was a nice payday for Faris though.
GILMORE GIRLS POSSIBLY HEADED TO THE BIG SCREEN
This is for you Mitchell. I have never seen the show, but apparently the creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, left the show before the final season, and was unhappy about the way it ended. She is considering developing a movie so it can have the ending she wanted it to have.
I'm not sure that is a good reason to make a film.
POSSIBLE BABY FOR SPIDER-MAN?
A casting call for Spider-Man 4, apparently has a character refereed to as "toddler boy" on it. It says, 3 year old boy to play 2 year old, Caucasian with RED HAIR, an adorable toddler with an engaging personality, on set experience preferred.
Now this could mean anything, but if they make Peter and MJ have a kid OR have Peter and MJ separated but now MJ has a kid, I will more than likely be done with this film. Spider-Man 4 needs to go back to it's roots. Have one villain and a simple storyline. There is no need to have eight different storylines in a two hour film, that is what sequels were created for.
MCG OFF 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA
It was reported today, that McG is no longer attached to direct 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and that more than likely the project has been sat on the shelf for now.
I was really interested and looking forward to this film. With today's technology and a good script, this could be a big movie which could spawn into a cool franchise. I like underwater films and you only get one every now and then.
I think McG got to bad of a wrap for Terminator Salvation not meeting box office standards. I think he has promise to him but he just needs a few more projects under his belt.
Maybe I'm just nuts, but I think it could be really cool. I picture it of sorta like a Star Trek type movie underwater, of course just older ships.
THIRD BATMAN FILM'S RELEASE DATE.......KIND OF
It's being reported that Christopher Nolan will be announcing whether or not he will be returning for a third Batman film in January once the marketing for his new film, Inception begins.
He needs to come back for the third film. He is the one who set the next film up, just like he set Batman Begins up for it's sequel. If he is thinking of leaving the franchise, that is fine, but I really hope he continues his story for one more film.
IT'S TUESDAY, WHAT DVD SHOULD I BUY
STAR TREK
For me, this was the best film of the summer. It had everything you want in a movie. The action was great and NOT overdone like most summer flicks, it had a lot of funny scenes, the actors all did a great job, and most importantly the script was incredible. What J.J. Abrhams did with this film's story was genius. He made it to where endless possibilities can happen now for Star Trek films. To me, this is a must buy.
BRUNO
This was a little bit of a disappointment to me. Was it funny, yes. But most the film I was sitting there thinking that it was really only funny the first time with Bruno. It had a "been there, done that" feel to it. I'm sure some people thought that it was just as funny as Borat and will buy it, but it just seemed fake to me. You can't tell me that Paula Abdul didn't know that was Sasha Baren Cohen doing her interview making her sit on mexicans. If you get this and haven't seen it, you will get a few laughs, but it probably won't be for everyone.
MY SISTER'S KEEPER
I did not see this film, but I heard that it was pretty good and of course sad. To me this isn't something I would buy though. Who wants to watch a kid die of cancer multiple times and enjoy it? I would say rent this one if your interested.
WRONG TURN AT TAHOE
Oh what would a Tuesday be without a Cuba Gooding Jr. direct-to-dvd film. Yes, earlier this month, Hardwired came out co-starring Val Kilmer, so this makes two direct-to-dvd films for Gooding in one month, and in this film Harvey Keitel decided to stoop low and co-star. Here's the synopsis for the film and I'll let you be the judge: A small-time crime boss kills a drug dealer without realizing that the drug dealer works for the biggest crime boss in the country. Pretty good stuff right?
GALAXY QUEST
Call me crazy, but I really like this movie. It is actually a cult favorite for many people. Obviously, this film came out back in 1999, but it is being released on blu-ray today, and I think it would be worth a buy. It has many big names starring in it including; Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shaloub, and Justin Long. It's a fun movie and if you enjoy those and don't own it, grab it.

MOVIE REVIEW: 2012
The plot of this film really needs no introduction. After numerous solar flares from the sun occur, the Earth's core begins to soften causing the Earth's crust to collapse, a super volcano to form and numerous tsunami waves form which somehow are taller than the Himalayas.
I will warn there are some spoilers in my review.
This film was actually enjoyable.......until the disaster begins. The movie just has to many convenience scenes. What I mean by that is:
"Oh no the plane is going down. Well luckily the cargo has cars in it so we can just drive off the plane in the snowy mountains in the middle of nowhere. Ok, we made it out alive now what, were in the middle of nowhere? Oh hey look coincidentally there are helicopters flying over us as soon as we get off the plane, they will pick us up. Oh darn, we don't have tickets for the archs, they are going to leave us here. Oh great look, there is a truck that is driving by literally right after we get left by the helicopters. What, you just so happen to be a relative of someone who is building the arch and has built a secret back door for you guys? Can we come? Great thanks."
Literally happens scene for scene. The graphics are great and I had only one problem with the cast which came from some no name guy that they have as an assistant to one of the scientists who just blew every scene he was in.
One thing that bothered me though, was that it seemed Emmerich took many things from his previous films and things he has seen from other films, and thrown it in to make this film. This made the film lose a lot of originality to me, because I'm sitting here thinking, "That was done in "Independence Day", he did that already in "The Day After Tomorrow", they got that from "Poseidon".
Whether you end up liking the film or not, you will come away entertained. Some parts I was genuinely entertained at, and some parts I was entertained laughing at. Is it worth a watch? I think it is, but you just have to know what to expect and if you have seen one of Emmerich's films before, which you probably have, then you will be fine. If you really want to enjoy the film, walk out every time a disaster scene starts and walk back in after its over. I'll be generous with it and give it a three out of five.

INDEPENDENCE DAY TRILOGY
While doing an interview for 2012, director Roland Emmerich said that he wants to do a sequel to Independence Day and make it a two film story arc. Here is what he had to say:
"What we want to do in the next – it's actually two movies – we want to do a bigger arc," he explained. "The idea is just to continue the story and actually I don't know how many years ago this was—twelve, thirteen, fourteen years ago—and just continue where it ended."
Now here is the part that I swear is not a joke. He said that he would like the title of the film to be ID4-Ever Part 1 and 2. What a stupid title. Almost as bad as The X-Files: I Want To Believe.
Independence Day is one of my all time favorites. I remember seeing the standee for it and praying it wouldn't be rated R, because at the time I was only in second grade. And I remember waiting in the line wrapped around the theatre to get in to see it. If they do this, it has to be done perfectly. I'm not sure how they are going to pick up right where the first one ended, since its been thirteen years since it came out. Also, if Goldblum and Smith aren't back on board, then don't do it. I don't care as much about Bill Pulman because presidents can be replaced, but I would prefer he return as well.
Bottom line, if they can't do this perfectly, leave it alone. If they really have a good story, and the cast is returning, I mean I even want Goldblum's dad back in the sequel, then go for it. With Emmerich's past few movie's though, I have a hard time believing he can pull this off. Sometimes it is best to leave classics alone.
RAMBO V UPDATE
For a while the story for Rambo V was going to be that he is going up against some man/beast creature. I could not believe that they would actually take Rambo in to a sci-fi direction, but sure enough, they really were going to go with that storyline. Until now. Someone has finally come to their senses and changed the plot. Now the story is going to head over the border to a violent city where several women have gone missing.
The last Rambo film was pretty impressive. I'm sure this film will be along the same lines. I would like to finally see a little more in depth to Rambo's character, so hopefully this one will provide that.
THOR BEGINS FILMING IN JANUARY
Thor will begin shooting in Los Angeles mid January. It will then move to Sante Fe for the second half of filming. There has also been a little synopsis released for the film:
The epic adventure spans the Marvel Universe; from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
I have a lot of faith that this is going to be a great movie. Paramount did a great job with Iron Man, the cast is looking great, and I'm a fan of the director.
THREE MUSKETEERS 3D
Jerry Bolt, who is currently producing Resident Evil 4, reported today that they plan to begin a Three Musketeers film in 3D in September 2010. He said the film was going to have an 80 million dollar budget and Paul W. Anderson is set to direct.
Really? Do we really need another Three Musketeers movie? That movie has been done almost as many times as A Christmas Carol. I don't see why they would do it in 3D either. I can picture the swords coming out at me already.
TRAILER REPORT: GROWN UPS
This is not a teaser trailer that has gotten me excited to see this film. This looks like the same goof ball comedy movie we have seen before. Hopefully when the actual trailer is released, it will be more promising.

TRAILER REPORT: DATE NIGHT
I have to say, even though I hate Fox, this movie looks awesome to me. The cast is very diverse, but I love everyone in it. I haven't seen a good action/comedy that I can remember. When I think of action/comedy films I think of Taxi, The Man, I-Spy, you know crap like that. Will Ferrell is currently filming The Other Guys which is an action/comedy along with Mark Wahlberg, Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson. I hope it looks half as good as ths does. What do you guys think?
HEADLINES
AREA 51 PLOT DETAILS
After the success of Paranormal Activity, director Oren Peli has decided to continue his fad with a documentary style film titled Area 51. Unlike the $11,000 budget Paranormal Activity had, this film will be getting a five million dollar budget.
The story is revolves around three guys and a girl, who meet up with a former Area 51employee who is convinced they have done alien/human testing in return for alien technology. The group somehow gets into the base where of course they get footage of a catastrophe that happens while they're inside.
I'm all for films with aliens. However, I think that they are fixing to overdue the handheld camera movies with Blair Witch, Cloverfield, Quarantine and Paranormal Activity already taking that approach. I do think the actual synopsis of the film is great though. There has never really been a movie done about Area 51 besides the part in Independence Day. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this pans out, but after this, they need to slow down with the handheld movies.
HARVEY KEITEL JOINS LITTLE FOCKERS
The Little Fockers cast has been growing recently with the addition of Jessica Alba and Laura Dern. Harvey Keitel will also be joining the film now as a contractor to Greg Focker. Alba will play a pharmaceutical worker and Dern plays a teacher to the "little fockers". Owen Wilson is also returning with a bigger role.
What is sad, is that Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Streisand won't be in this one. I loved them in the sequel, and I thought the chemistry between everyone was great.
HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS
Dante Harper has been hired to write the upcoming horror/comedy film Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. All that is known on the film right now is that it takes place fifteen years after the gingerbread house incident which has now led to them becoming bounty witch hunters. Adam McKay and Will Ferrell are producing the film.
I think this sounds like a funny idea that could easily spin into something stupid. When I read the synopsis for Year One, I thought it sounded funny but turned out horrible. With Ferrell producing, I hope he doesn't feel the need to jump in this film. I think Ferrell was once funny, but now has just done the same role time and time again.
SAW VII's RELEASE DATE
Well you knew it would happen, only this time it's going to be in.......you guessed it, 3D. Lionsgate has scheduled Saw VII to be released October 22, 2010.
There has been rumblings of an eighth film also happening, but really? Do we really need two more of these films? I can't possibly see what they can add to two more films. The end of the sixth film looked like we were setting up for the final chapter. If they do continue on with these, they need to ditch the whole jigsaw storyline and do something else because these films are getting pretty bad.
MONOPOLY PLOT REVEALED
Ridley Scott has shown interest in doing a film adaptation of the board game Monopoly. He said it was the story that made him want to do it. Well the synopsis has been released by writer Frank Bedder and it is a little out there. Here is how he describes the film.
"I created a comedic, lovable loser who lives in Manhattan and works at a real estate company and he’s not very good at his job but he’s great at playing Monopoly. And the world record for playing is 70 straight days – over 1,600 hours – and he wanted to try to convince his friends to help him break that world record. They think he is crazy. They kid him about this girl and they're playing the game and there’s this big fight. And he’s holding a Chance card and after they’ve left he says, ‘Dang, I wanted to use that Chance card,’ and he throws it down. He falls asleep and then he wakes up in the morning and he’s holding the Chance card, and he thinks, ‘That’s odd."
"He’s all groggy and he goes down to buy some coffee and he reaches into his pocket and all he has is Monopoly money. All this Monopoly money pours out. He’s confused and embarrassed and the girl reaches across the counter and says, ‘That’s OK.’ And she gives him change in Monopoly money. He walks outside and he’s in this very vibrant place, Monopoly City, and he’s just come out of a Chance Shop. As it goes on, he takes on the evil Parker Brothers in the game of Monopoly. He has to defeat them. It tries to incorporate all the iconic imageries -- a sports car pulls up, there's someone on a horse, someone pushing a wheelbarrow -- and rich Uncle Pennybags, you're going to see him as the maître d' at the restaurant and he's the buggy driver and the local eccentric and the doorman at the opera. There's all these sight gags.
So the guy who directed Alien is going to be tackling this project???? This sounds absolutely horrible. I mean he has to beat the Parker Brothers in Monopoly? Stupid.

LEN WISEMAN TO DIRECT "END OF THE WORLD" FILM
Wiseman, who directed Live Free Or Die Hard, will be directing the new film Nocturne. The movie is about a group of people who survive the end of the world and the mystery of how they got into that position.
Hollywood loves to take one movie's idea, and then make ten different movies about the same thing. It started with I Am Legend which was an end of the world/zombie movie, then we have 2012 coming out this week, followed by The Book of Eli and The Road which all are basically about the end of the world. What I wouldn't give for an original movie every now and then.
With that being said, Len Wiseman so far has not made a bad film. He was who I was hoping would get to direct Wolverine. Had he got the job, I'm sure we would have got a much better film. Wiseman is currently working on two other projects, one being Atlantis Rising. That is the film I'm wanting to see. The film revolves around seismic disturbances at sea, which force the world's militaries to investigate the deepest part of the ocean, where an underground civilization emerges to engage in war with planet Earth. Now to me, that sounds pretty cool. I've always wanted a good Atlantis movie not made by Disney.
YOU ARE HERE GETS THREE BIG NAMES
Jennifer Aniston, Bradley Cooper and Zach Galafanakis have signed onto to star in You Are Here. Matthew Weiner, who did The Sopranos and is now currently working on the hit show Mad Men is writing and directing. There is no story yet, but it is described as an "indie romantic comedy", so it may not be a big budgeted film.
This has a potential to be a great film. Weiner is a great writer and I like all three cast members so far. I really like that it's described as an "indie film". 500 Days of Summer was great so hopefully we can get something on that level.
SPIDER-MAN 4 CASTING RUMORS
A source says that Sam Raimi is looking into putting Felicia Hardy/Black Cat into the next film. Not only that, but Rachel McAdams is at the top of the wish list for the role. There is also news that there is a casting call for a male villain.
First off, Rachel McAdams would be awesome as Black Cat. Secondly, get concerned. It has already been pretty much confirmed that The Lizard is going to be the villain so lets do the math here. Spider-Man 3 had Sandman, Venom and Green Goblin which equaled a horrible movie. So now Spider-Man 4 has The Lizard and potentially the Black Cat plus another male villain???? Please don't try and fit more story than a two hour movie can hold again, please!!!

IT'S TUESDAY WHAT DVD SHOULD I BUY?
UP
This is one of Pixar's best films in a few years. The thing about Pixar movies is that they aren't crap like Astro Boy or Tale of Despereaux where only the kids are going to enjoy the movie. Pixar movies appeal to everyone and there is a lot of effort put into these films. This is easily one of my top five Pixar films and would be great for anyone to own.
THE UGLY TRUTH
I didn't like this film, but it is targeted towards women. I am a fan of chick flicks, however this one just wasn't for me. It had a few good parts, but in the end it was the same movie I have seen time and time again.
THE ACCIDENTAL HUSBAND
I kept seeing the trailer for this film, but did it ever come out in theatres? Either way, this movie looked absolutely horrible. I would not buy or watch this movie ever.
SPREAD
This movie came out in limited release and stars Ashton Kutcher and Anne Heche. It's about Kutcher's character who has "slept his way into the the life of priveledge". The trailer didn't appeal to me, but it got ok reviews. I wouldn't go out and buy this.
BEST ACTORS OF TODAY
Unfortunately, we live in a world that thinks just because Megan Fox, Jessica Alba, Matthew McConaughey and Dane Cook are good looking people, that they are good actors. Something else that is unfortunate, is that their movies usually do well even though they suck and should be box office flops. Here are my favorite people today in Hollywood. These people to me show class on and off screen, doing interviews, helping with charities, or even being chased by paparazzi.
TOM HANKS
Is there anyone with more class than Hanks? The man has one of the best resumes in Hollywood. He is one of few people who the paparazzi leaves alone because he is so nice to them and anytime I watch him being interviewed, he is funny and willing to do anything.
KEVIN SPACEY
Spacey happens to be my favorite actor. He, like Hanks, is also someone with an impressive resume. He was a part of several awesome movies in the nineties, many being some of my all time favorites. He is always a fun interview to watch as well. He has been pretty quiet in the 2000's, focusing on theatre and smaller roles. Spacey needs to get back to making movies because he is rarely in a bad film.
ANNE HATHAWAY
Hathaway showed up in 2001's, The Princess Diaries and from there has had a wide variety of films from animated films like Hoodwinked, controversial films like Brokeback Mountain, chick flicks like The Devil Wears Prada, and her first Oscar Nominated film, Rachel Getting Married. I think that her career will keep going up with her diverse resume.
PHILLIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN
I wish this guy would do more movies, because I love him in just about anything he has ever done. He has had an awesome past few years with films like Mission Impossible 3, where he played one of the best villains I've seen in a while. He has been nominated for three Academy Awards since 2005, two for Best Supporting Actor for his work in Doubt and Charlie Wilson's War and won for Best Actor for his work in Capote. The man can certainly act. I just hope he'll land the role of Penguin in a future Batman film.
JAMIE FOXX
I am only putting Foxx on here because he really is a good actor. That being said, he is on the path of Samuel L. Jackson as far as movie choices go. The man will make something great like Ray or Collateral and then go off and make Stealth and this upcoming Shenehneh and Wanda movie. He needs to get a new agent or something, because he is wasting a lot of talent on some of his movie choices, but he really is a good actor and hopefully will continue to make good movies.
MATT DAMON
Damon is one of the most consistent actors in Hollywood when it comes to making good films. He is made over twenty films and the only bad one's I can think of are The Brother's Grimm and Stuck On You. His great movies include; Saving Private Ryan, Ocean's Eleven, The Departed, Good Will Hunting, and The Bourne franchise. He is also a big giver to charities and always gives an awesome or funny interview.
I would like to see more ladies step up in the movie game. You have your older people like Julia Roberts, Halle Berry (who is hit and miss), and Meryl Streep, but there isn't really any young actresses blowing up right now.
So who do you think is a legit star of our time?
